Another lovely day in paradise

It is warming up quickly here now. Supposed to be about 75 today and then close to 80 for the next several days. So far the launch schedules are holding up. There will be one at about 11 pm Friday night and the Shuttle is scheduled for about 9:40 on 3/11. A night launch would be so fantastic !!!!!

This place is fasinating. There are lots of folks that come down and park in this park for 3 or 4 months every year. There are cool birds (blue heron, pelicans) and there is a warning on the canal for boaters to look out for manatees. We stopped briefly at a beach on the Atlantic Ocean today on our way into town to do errands. The water is a pretty blue color and there were tons of shells on the beach (all the same kind tho' ... some sort of clam, I think).

This should be a lovely place to just take it easy for a couple of weeks before moving on to the Everglades.
