Launches still on

Beautiful day at the beach
Blue Heron here at the Campground

The rocket launch for tonight (Kepler, going out to discover and characterize hundreds of planets in the universe) is still on for about 11 pm Eastern time. Hopefully, we will be able to see at least some of it from here at the campsite. The shuttle launch is still scheduled for about 9:40 pm next Wednesday. We are also checking out going to a spring training exhibition game between the Atlanta Braves and the New York Mets. The game is in a town not very far from where we are. The tickets are very inexpensive.

We went to the beach today and had a picnic lunch. The beaches here are so pretty. There isn't a lot of kelp or seaweed in the water or on the beach. There are thousands of shells on the beach. It's hard to know what to pick up. Monday I think that we will take our camp chairs and stay for awhile. The one place that we found has a ramp down to the beach so that Donnie doesn't have to walk very far in the loose sand (which is very difficult for him).
