Louisiana is the most amazing place ever ! We went to a night Mardi Gras parade in a little town called Houma. It was pouring rain through part of it but it was still just about the most fun that I've ever had. For some reason when I pictured them throwing Mardi Gras beads I thought it was one or two at a time not hands full of them. I actually spent part of my time just trying not to get completely killed by piles of them being thrown at me. I would guess that we probably got 20 pounds of beads .... I'm not kidding !
There is supposed to be another parade tomorrow and one Sunday.... and Mardi Gras isn't until Tuesday. Absolutely crazy. At this rate we will have to rent a uhaul to get the beads home :-)
