We chickened out on staying on the BLM land. It just seemed too far out of town so we found a small RV park that is inexpensive. We have the spot for a week so we will be settled with internet, cell phone, water, electricity and sewer. All the comforts of home. I'm excited to go see Yuma and a possible day trip to Mexico. I checked with the RV park office and they said that this area of Mexico is very safe to visit. It is mostly pharmacies and dentists. Hopefully, they will also have vanilla and maybe a leather purse.
There are also lots of road side stands around with fresh produce. I'll have to check those out. We passed lots of acres of produce growing on our way thru the Imperial Valley.
We are very happy to be settled for a week.
