Bummer deal, we left Death Valley today thinking to get into Joshua Tree Ntl Park tonight. The silly ranger said that there were plenty of spaces in Hidden Springs Campground but they were either full or we wouldn't fit. So we had to drive clear down to 29 Palm to a private RV park.
I hadn't realized how high in altitude Joshua Tree is. We are trying to decide whether to stay here or try to find another campground in the park or go to Yuma.
Ah, well... tomorrow is another day.
