Leaving Maine tomorrow

We had a wonderful time in Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. It's a very beautiful place. We went to church in Bar Harbor yesterday at a lovely little church that was just about standing room only. It was a beautiful day so we took a harbor cruise after church. I took 2 dramamine and I think that Donnie held his breath for the whole 2 hours but I did good. I didn't get queasy at all and it was pretty choppy. We saw porpoises, harbor seals (much quieter than sea lions), and lots of sea birds. We also got good looks at lots of the summer "cottages" of the folks much richer than us. I didn't realize that they had a terrible fire in 1947 that burned many of the older cottages and much of the forest on Mt Desert Island where Bar Harbor and the Ntl Park are. Many of the rich folks didn't rebuild after that.

Tomorrow we turn back toward the west on our way home. We won't be taking much time across the midwest but just hopping across the states. It will still takes us about 3 weeks to get home. We have been on the road 5 months today. Hard to believe.
