Adams National HIstoric Park

It was raining again this morning so we decided not to go to Salem today. It was supposed to start clearing from the south and west so we headed down to Quincy, MA to the Adams Ntl Historic Park.
We have now been to the homes of the first 8 Presidents of the US.
George Washington
John Adams
Thomas Jefferson
Madison
Monroe
John Quincy Adams
Andrew Jackson
Martin Van Buren

Both the homes where John Adams (2nd pres) and John Quincy Adams (6th pres) were born were in one part of the tour. Also in the tour was the home where John & Abigail Adams later lived and which stayed in the Adams family until they turned it over to the National Park system. It was great because there was a big parking terrace behind the visitor center and then you got on a tour trolley to go to the homes where rangers gave the tours. It is a National Park so we got to do the whole thing for free with Donnie's Access pass. Part of the later home was the beautiful gardens with a separate building which housed John Quincy Adams collection of books (14,000).

We came home at ate salad for dinner. I'm getting as fat as a pig with the weather not being very good and eating lobster dipped in butter.
