We are now at Big Bend Ntl Park. We had to drive into a town today to cell & internet service. There is nothing in the park at all. We will be at BigBend until Tuesday and then will probably take at least 2 days to get to Chuck & Pam's place in Seguin, Texas.
It was so cold in Carlsbad on Tuesday morning ! We were right on the edge of that cold front that brought all of the ice storms to the midwest so we dropped further south and west than we had planned for Tuesday night trying to get out of it. It was still pretty cool that day but it is absolutely gorgeous here at Big Bend. It was cool last night but we are in shorts and t-shirts today.
This is very interesting place. Absolutely huge. We went down to a view point over the Rio Grande river last night. They have lots of road runners. And these wild pig looking things called javelinas.
This will probably be the last post until next Tuesday unless we driving back into town another day. We may drive in for church on Sunday.
