The "bird cages" where the prostitutes plied their trade in the Bird Cage Theater
Hearse
The graves of the guys killed at the OK corral
We are settled in Las Cruces, New Mexico for the night. Not a great RV park but ok for one night.
We went back to Tombstone yesterday to see the things that we had missed the day before. We went to Boot Hill cemetery which was interesting. Not too many people died of natural causes in that cemetery. Some interesting epitaphs.
We also went back to the Bird Cage Theatre where we paid to see the main part of the theater. It was interesting because you knew all of the different historical characters that had been in that building. Wyatt Earp met his last "wife" there while she was a prostitute in one of the "bird cages". Doc Holliday and Johnny Ringo had a duel between the Faro (card game) table and the grand piano. There was a glass hearse that took all but 6 of the people buried at Boot Hill to their final resting place.
We had a good travel day today. Will take off for Balmorhea, Texas tomorrow.
