Well, it's been a few days since I posted. We left Chuck & Pam's in a light rain but it wasn't raining on Padre by the time we got there. We got all settled and then discovered on Tuesday morning that the fridge hadn't been running. We had to hook back up and head over to a town called Rockport. Luckily we were able to get right into an RV service place. They had us all fixed and back on the road in about an hour. Apparently, the igniter (sp?) that light the propane to run the fridge was broken. We had been running on electricity for several weeks so who knows when it broke.

To get over to Rockport we had to put the truck and trailer on a ferry boat to get back over to the mainland. That was kind of fun. You would think that a bridge would be cheaper than running 3 ferries but apparently not.

Padre is as great as we remembered although we haven't run across anybody to give us free fish yet. :-) Next week is spring break in Texas so I think that we may just stay put on Padre until that is over.
